Overview: Zebra Swallowtail’s (Eurytides marcellus) are in the Papilionidae family. They are strong fliers with tail-like apendages on the rear of the wings. General Habitat: River edges, rich woods, and meadows.
Caterpillar & Host Plants
Larvae feed only on Pawpaw tree (Asimina triloba). They accumulate a toxin called annonaceous acetogenins which makes them unpalatable to predators.
